The web offset press textbook houses keep coming back to. 30,000 copies per hour, full 4 + 4 colour, seven cut-off options and a heavy-duty 1:2 jaw folder — offered in Silver, Gold or Platinum trim so the press matches your press room, not the other way around.
Textbook printing is a different problem from newspaper printing. Heavier paper stocks. Larger signatures. Seasonal volume spikes around board exams and school sessions. Print quality that has to last the academic year on the desk. Superb is built for exactly that — engineered end-to-end at our Faridabad facility, on CNC-machined frames in high-grade stress-relieved cast iron.
The Superb Four-High Tower stacks four mono units to deliver full 4 + 4 colour printing in a single pass. Ideal for textbook jobs where every page is in colour — school textbooks, board-prescribed books, competitive-exam guides, illustrated workbooks. Tower additions to existing presses are straightforward and cost-effective.
Textbook publishers print to different finished sizes — from crown to demi to royal. Superb is available in seven cut-off options (508 mm to 630 mm) so you match the press to the finished textbook size, not the other way around. Standard plate width 889 mm (35″), with 915 mm (36″) as an option. Paper width 650–915 mm; standard reel diameter 1100 mm (1270 mm optional).
The Superb Folder is a heavy-duty 1:2 jaw type folder rated for 30,000 copies per hour at 2nd fold, supporting up to 6 webs of newsprint and full broadsheet, tabloid, quarter-fold (magazine) and double-parallel (digest) configurations. Designed around the signature folding textbook work actually demands — not adapted from a generic platform.
Textbook paper is heavier than newsprint. Superb runs paper from 38 to 80 GSM with a standard reel diameter of 1,100 mm, and 1,270 mm available as an option. The basic press unit is a four-cylinder mono configuration with optional integral reel stand — the same mono unit stacks into the Four-High Tower for textbook production.
The Superb Folder is a heavy-duty 1:2 jaw type folder engineered around the signature folding textbook work demands — rated for 30,000 copies per hour at 2nd fold, handling up to 6 webs of newsprint across every fold a textbook house needs.
Not a generic folder adapted to fit. The Superb 1:2 jaw folder is engineered for textbook duty cycles — dynamically balanced cylinders, double steel nipping and hardened gears in an oil bath for reliable signature delivery, shift after shift.
Superb isn't a new bet. It's the web offset platform textbook houses have run for decades — built in-house, installed globally, backed by an engineering team that has been refining the same press family since 1988.
Every Superb is built end-to-end at our Faridabad facility — mainframes, shafts, cylinders, rollers and bushes machined in-house on CNC, VMC, HMC and grinder equipment. Proven engineering, delivered and supported worldwide.
Customer references for textbook printing are available on request — share your requirement and we'll connect you with comparable installations.
The Superb is offered in three trim levels. Each adds automation and control sophistication — from manual on Silver, through motorised on Gold, to fully automatic with cameras on Platinum. Mix and match cut-off width, tower count and trim level to spec the right press for your textbook house.
Standard features on every Superb press — built around stable colour register, easy plate handling and the kind of serviceability a seasonal-demand textbook house needs.

The Superb 1:2 jaw folder is configurable for four core fold types — matched to the way textbook publishers, magazines and newspapers actually finish their work.
Single fold across the long axis. The standard broadsheet newspaper or textbook fold.
Half-size newspaper / compact textbook format. Folded both ways for tabloid finishing.
Folded into four sections for magazine and signature work. Cross-fold configuration. Up to 22,000 cph.
Two parallel folds in the same direction. Used for digest-format publications and inserts.
